Many organizations and companies want media coverage of their activities, while at the same time many newsrooms are looking for themes (or even national and international) to cover local. If you belong to an organization that wants coverage, you can increase your chances of getting a later press release just simple (or release) agreements.
First, you need to get something new or different to say. As the name indicates, the news, and the media want information that is new or at least updated. At the same time, journalists and publishers want relevant information to their readers, and choose carefully targeted media and adapt the content of the release of their audiences).
Second, you must be an interesting title as your headline newspaper. We should have something new, exciting, or at the right time. To the editor or journalist want to know more. Remember, however, must be at the request of reliable and relevant.
Third, in the first paragraph of the body, and take the fifth call journalists WS: Who, What, Where, When, and why. In fact, in an attempt to get them in the first sentence, and if you can not at least start with a clear statement and a brief summarizes the story.
Traditionally, journalists have tried to get the essence of every story in the first paragraph because they do not know where, or if, reduced their stories. Fourth, writing and re-writing your press release many times before "release" it. Use verbs and transitions (from sentence to sentence and paragraph to paragraph.) Reduce the content as much as you can, two is acceptable, but one of the best.

(This is usually right-justified)
Or, if you want the version that will be held until a certain date / time, write something like this:
For publication on 23, 10:00 August
(But do not necessarily expect to honor the embargo)
Skip the line, and then contacted with information, as in:
Contact: Robert Abbott
Phone: 403 555-1234
E-mail: robertabbott@anycompany.com
Skip the last line and add your title (centered, and the use of state uppercase or title total):
The perpetual motion machine revealed
Now the body of the press release your, which should not exceed two pages.
